An emotional, educational, and interactive tool that encourages green thinking in learning environments, such as University of the Arts London. Athena is the all new intelligent bin that will drive educational institutions, workplaces, and home living to a new way of recycling and waste management.

This project was formed on the foundation of recycling and waste management issues. This allowed me to explore green thinking, green washing, the complexities of human behaviour and humour. I conducted a range of primary and secondary research in relation to environmental initiatives, plastic, recycling, waste management, and humour.

 

Named after Athena in Greek Mythology, meaning intelligence and wisdom. Athena uses humour to engage with users to communicate what she is thinking and give advice.
